Noel French has been living in Trim for the past twenty five years and previously lived in Athboy and Drogheda. A family man, his three children are a major priority and with one at third level and one in second level he is familiar with the challenges being faced by families.

Director of the Meath Heritage Centre in Trim, Noel has worked tirelessly for the good of socially and economically disadvantaged people. The provision of training and creation of employment have been long term priorities for Noel. As editor of Focus on Trim for twenty years Noel has been brought into close contact with many businesses and community groups.

Noel French has an M.A. in Local Studies from NUI Maynooth. It took five years of evening study to achieve this degree.  Noel has a Diploma in Dairy Science from University College Cork which gave a broad based education is such topics as Economics and Accounting. Noel grew up in a farming family and worked in the agri-food business for a number of years.

Involved in community affairs for more than twenty five years Noel French has a strong track record in community development and tourism in the south Meath area. Providing leadership in tourism and enterprise development Noel has gained personal experience in dealing with the public service.

His vision for South Meath and Ireland is a positive one.
